ABOUT THE FOUNDER

This Practice Started With One Synagogue And A Stack Of Grant Paperwork

In 2014, our founder was asked to help his synagogue navigate the federal Nonprofit Security Grant Program. With a 15+ year background in federal law enforcement and physical security, the application process came naturally. What didn’t come naturally was how difficult the process was for everyone else.

The application required a level of security expertise, threat documentation, and compliance knowledge that most houses of worship, schools, and other nonprofits simply don’t have in-house. That first successful application turned into referrals, which turned into a practice.

Over the past decade, Security Grant Advisors has grown from that single engagement into a consultancy serving organizations across 15+ states, helping them identify security vulnerabilities, win federal and state grant funding, and implement the security improvements their communities need.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

We're Not Generalists. This Is All We Do.

Security Background

Most grant writers in this space are writers first. We come from federal law enforcement and physical security. We understand what makes a facility vulnerable and what reviewers need to see to fund the fix.

Program Expertise

We work exclusively with nonprofit security grant programs, both federal and state. We know the scoring criteria, the common mistakes, the documentation requirements, and how to make your application competitive.

Minimal Burden On You

Our process is designed to get what we need from your organization quickly and efficiently. We know exactly what to ask for. Your time commitment is measured in hours, not weeks.
